These terms govern the use of mehnatlink.com, the MehnatLink site portal and the MehnatLink worker app (together, the "Service"), operated by Madhav Bal, trading as MehnatLink ("MehnatLink", "we").
1. The Service
MehnatLink is software that lets a builder post work, verify and record worker attendance and quality, keep a wage ledger and generate compliance data, and lets workers find work and see their verified earnings. MehnatLink is a technology service provider only.
2. Roles and responsibilities
The builder is the employer (or principal employer under the Contract Labour Act) of the workers it engages and is responsible for wages, statutory contributions, working conditions and compliance.
A labour contractor (thekedar) who brings a crew is their immediate employer; his commission is recorded openly on the platform and is paid by the builder, never deducted from a worker's wage.
MehnatLink does not employ workers, does not hold or pay wages, and does not decide who is hired. Wages are paid by the builder directly to the worker's own account; MehnatLink records the payment reference the builder enters.
3. Accounts
Builders register with a business email; workers register with a mobile number verified by one-time password. You are responsible for keeping your login details, PINs and devices secure and for everything done under your account. Restricted floor logins (line masters) can only record attendance and quality.
4. Fees
Builder plans are billed monthly in advance as shown on /pricing, exclusive of GST. Every new builder account gets a 14-day free trial; no service fee accrues during the trial.
On paid plans, a service fee of 3.5% of the verified wage value recorded through the platform is invoiced to the builder with the subscription.
AI token packs are prepaid and non-refundable.
Workers never pay to use the Service.
5. Fair use and integrity
Wage floors: the Service enforces the legal minimum-wage floor on posted rates. Rates are fixed when a worker accepts.
No staff member of a builder or contractor may charge a worker for placement, attendance, counting or payment. Workers can report this anonymously; MehnatLink may suspend accounts that do.
Records created through the Service (attendance, quality entries, payments) are the record of what happened. Disputes freeze only the disputed entry.
Builders agree not to hire, off the platform, a worker introduced through the Service within six months of the introduction; a placement fee applies if they do.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Service, attempt to access other accounts or data, reverse-engineer it, or use it to break the law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
7. Data
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. Builders are data fiduciaries for their workers' employment records; MehnatLink processes that data to provide the Service and for statutory compliance outputs the builder requests.
8. Availability and liability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. To the extent permitted by law, MehnatLink's liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the fees paid by the builder in the three months before the claim. MehnatLink is not liable for wages, statutory dues or employment decisions, which rest with the builder and contractor.
9. Cancellation
A builder may stop its subscription at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. See Cancellation & refunds.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Gurugram, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction.
